During the reception of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in Karachi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Rizwan Khanzada played a visible role in mobilizing workers and organizing activities on the ground.
According to the available videos, Rizwan Khanzada initially reached Mazar-e-Quaid along with his colleagues, where a confrontation with police was also witnessed. He later proceeded with his colleagues to the Karachi Toll Plaza, where PTI workers were gathering to welcome Sohail Afridi.
Through continuous video messages and announcements, Rizwan Khanzada called on PTI workers from across Karachi to reach the Toll Plaza, repeatedly conveying the message: “The entire Karachi should come.”
At the reception, PTI flags, Imran Khan photographs and party stickers were distributed among workers, including families who had arrived to participate. Workers also chanted slogans including “Release Imran Khan,” “Imran Khan Reha Karo,” and “One State, Two Constitutions — Unacceptable.”
From a political perspective, Rizwan Khanzada’s role extended beyond social-media messaging. His presence on the ground, coordination with workers, calls for mobilization and participation in the reception demonstrated an active effort to build political momentum and maintain contact with grassroots supporters.
While the available videos cannot establish that every person present at the Toll Plaza came solely because of Rizwan Khanzada, they do provide visible evidence of his active participation in mobilizing and coordinating PTI workers for Sohail Afridi’s reception.
